Your birth details and personal questions are private. This page explains, in plain words, what personal data Astro by Narinder collects, why, how long we keep it, and how you can ask us to see, correct or delete it.
Who We Are
This website, astrobynarinder.com, is run by Narinder (Astro by Narinder) ("we", "us"), who decides how your personal data is used. Contact details are at the end of this page.
What We Collect
When you only browse this website: our server automatically records basic technical logs — IP address, browser type, page visited, date and time — used only for security and to keep the site working. Only if you click "Allow" on the cookie bar, the Meta Pixel also runs (see Cookies and the Meta Pixel below).
When you contact us, fill the enquiry form or book a consultation (on the website, WhatsApp, phone or email):

What You Choose to Share
Please share only what is needed for your question. You do not need to share health or medical records; if you mention a health concern, we use it only to understand your question.
Details of Other People
If you share someone else's birth details (a partner, child or relative), please make sure they know and agree. For a child under 18, share details only as their parent or legal guardian.
How We Use Your Data
- To prepare and give your consultation and any follow-up you ask for
- To schedule, remind and reply to you
- To keep basic records of consultations and payments, as required by law
- To protect the website from misuse
We do not sell your data or share your readings with anyone else. Your birth details and questions are never sent to Meta or any advertising service.
Cookies and the Meta Pixel
With your permission, this website uses the Meta Pixel (by Meta Platforms, the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It sets cookies and tells Meta which pages were visited and when a WhatsApp or call button was tapped, so we can measure visits and show our services to people who may find them useful. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account under its own privacy policy.
The Pixel loads only after you click "Allow". If you click "Decline", no Pixel or advertising cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie choices at the bottom of every page.
Who Can See Your Data
- Narinder and, if any, a staff member who helps with bookings.
- Service providers we use to talk to you or run the site: WhatsApp (Meta), Google (the enquiry form is saved to a private Google Sheet and sent to our Gmail), phone and Zoom (video calls), website hosting provider, Razorpay (payments — we never see your card or bank details) and courier companies (gemstone delivery). They handle data under their own privacy policies.

How Long We Keep It
- Consultation details are kept while you are a client so follow-up questions can be answered, and deleted within 3 years of your last consultation, or earlier if you ask.
- Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
- Server logs are kept for at least one year, as required under Indian data-protection rules, and then deleted.
How We Protect It
Charts and notes are stored on password-protected devices and accounts, shared only with the people listed above, and the website uses HTTPS. No method is 100% secure, but if a data breach affects you, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
Your Rights
You can, at any time:
- Ask what data we hold about you and how it is used
- Correct wrong or incomplete details (for example, a corrected birth time)
- Delete your data, or withdraw consent — we will stop using it, except records the law requires us to keep
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to
- Complain to us (see Grievances), and if you are not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India

Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect data directly from anyone under 18. Parents or guardians may share a child’s birth details for a reading.
Laws We Follow
This policy is written for India's Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 with the DPDP Rules, 2025.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how we use data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
